What We Believe

Four Core Beliefs

Salvation: The doctrine of Salvation forms the core of our Christian faith by proclaiming God’s victory over sin in our lives. This truth results in deliverances, healings and restored lives. Whether a new member or a mature Christian, every believer should have a clear understanding of salvation and the difference this truth makes in our lives and churches.

Divine Healing: Wherever Jesus went, He ministered with compassion and healed the sick. Christ’s example showed an interconnection with salvation as many believed following their healing. Our Lord continues to heal today and it is vital that the church preach, teach and practice this biblical truth. Scriptures command believers to pray in faith and trust God for the outcome.

Holy Spirit Baptism: The doctrine of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is our distinctive. This truth explains the passion and power of our witness. Jesus promised His followers they would receive power from on high so that they would be His witnesses. We believe this truth is just as relevant today as our Fellowship continues to take the gospel message around the globe.

Christ’s Second Coming: With the world experiencing natural disasters, economic downturns and increasing uncertainties on many fronts, the doctrine of Christ’s Second Coming is more relevant than ever. Believers must rest in the certainty of the imminent return of our Lord and share this hope with others.

16 Fundamental Truths

Newville AG is a part of the Assemblies of God denomination. All Assemblies of God churches adhere to these 16 Fundamental Truths. The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10 [KJV/NIV]; Acts 2:42 [KJV/NIV]).

Mission & Vision

Christ Centered. Family Focused. Community Driven.

As a church, we aim to make Christ the central part of all that we do.

We believe He is the Son of God, our Savior, and the Lord of our lives—and we seek to follow Him together.

Our teaching is rooted in the life and words of Jesus, our worship is shaped by His grace, and our mission flows from His love for the world. Rather than building around personalities, preferences, or programs, we aim to keep Christ as our focus—trusting that true transformation comes from knowing Him.

Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have followed Jesus for many years, our desire is to help you grow in a real, life-giving relationship with Him.

Our second point of emphasis is being a family focused church.

We believe God designed faith to be lived out—starting in the home and extending into the church family and beyond. We are committed to walking alongside parents, children, students, singles, and seniors as they grow in faith together.

Being family focused means we value every generation and seek to create spaces where all ages are welcomed, supported, and nurtured. We desire to be a church where families are strengthened, relationships are built, and people of every season of life find belonging and encouragement.

God created us for relationship—with Him and with one another—and we strive to be a church where people are known, valued, and supported.

We believe the church exists not only for itself, but for the good of the world around it. Because of Christ’s love for us, we seek to love and serve our community in meaningful, tangible ways.

Being community-driven means we are committed to showing up—meeting real needs, building relationships, and partnering with others to bring hope and healing to our neighborhoods. We desire to be a church that lives out its faith beyond Sunday mornings, reflecting the compassion of Jesus through service, generosity, and presence in the community we call home.
